The parks in Bruges are great for spending a sunny afternoon or bringing off some energy before bed. Minnewaterpark is an iconic landmark of the city and has been the inspiration for many romantic poems and stories. Its prime location south of the city centre has plenty of space to run around and has beautiful views of lakes, water and castles. It’s a great spot for a family stroll, a picnic or a bike ride. The playground in the Astridpark is the most centrally located and has the largest playground in Bruges, which is nicely designed with wooden elements. 4. Tandem Biking in Bruges

Biking is a great activity in Bruges and an easy way to get around quickly and easily with children. Save the complaints of tiredness and sore legs from your little ones by renting a cargo bike, a novel way of touring the city and a great way to exercise. If your children are old enough, rent a tandem so you can get twice the power with half of the effort. See the sights and sounds of Bruges and the surrounding areas biking around the city on a self-guided tour or by joining a bike tour. Get out of the city and explore St Anne’s Quarter, St Giles’ District and West Bruges District or go further afield to the less frequented Bruges woods and Wetlands.
